Jana Jenkins is gearing up to teach Lean Six Sigma courses in KSU’s College of Continuing and Professional Education beginning Nov. 2. In 2014, Jenkins was a scholarship recipient and successfully completed the Project Management course. With her experience as WellStar Health Systems’ full-time Lean Six Sigma coordinator along with 16 years of experience as a certified Lean leader and a Master Black Belt designation, Jenkins has returned to KSU’s Continuing Education to impart her knowledge on new students.

“Lean Six Sigma can be applied to any industry, any business and any department because it is a methodology, not industry specific,” Jenkins said. “Anyone can take the class, even if you have been exposed to very minimal math. Lean Six Sigma is great for college [graduates], seasoned professionals and business owners.”

Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and Green Belt, will begin Nov. 2 and Nov. 9, respectively. Lean Six Sigma is widely considered the most popular business performance methodology in the history of corporate development. The courses cover statistical and practical analyses of problem solving and solutions. Students who register for both courses will receive a 10 percent discount and earn a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate upon completion.
