SEATTLE–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Point B Inc., a management consulting and venture investment firm, will lead a professional Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification training course February 29 – March 4, 2016 in Seattle, Washington. Taught by instructors who have led highly successful Green Belt courses for some of the nation’s top universities, including the University of Washington, the hands-on course combines classroom and real-world learning to offer a professional certification that gives attendees the confidence to lead impactful programs within their organizations.

Point B’s Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is a cohort-based program that promotes peer networking, offers hands-on experience with real projects for actual clients, and provides current industry perspectives from professionals in the field.

The certification is grounded in a proprietary A.C.T. framework™, which emphasizes a balanced approach to drive the three fundamentals necessary for sustainable, continuous improvement.

Accountable Structures: Includes measurement, daily standard work, managing effective meetings, “go-see” visits, huddles and visual management.
Culture: Includes respect, customercentricity, team-building, value-stream alignment, change management, staff empowerment, and “failing forward.”
Tools and Techniques: Includes understanding of tools and concepts needed to lead basic continuous improvement, root cause problem-solving, and innovation efforts.
Taught by lean experts and instructors for the University of Washington’s Lean Six Sigma Management Courses, Connie Polzin and Pat Edmonds, the certification course is a week-long, in-person event, followed by four weeks of remote coaching on each participant’s individual projects.
